As an expectant mum or a mother who is concerned about constipation, you’re not alone. Up to 40% of all women may suffer symptoms at some stage of their pregnancy.15 Up to a quarter of women may still suffer from constipation three months after delivery.16 It’s also not uncommon for your baby to suffer from constipation, especially when changing from breast milk to milk substitute.17
Duphalac® Mum & Baby is a ready-to-use, syrup-based solution. It is fruit flavoured with no need for mixing or adding water. The handy measuring cup can be used to measure the correct dose.
Duphalac® can be taken as a single daily dose or divided into two doses.4 After a few days the starting dosage may be reduced to a maintenance dose based upon treatment response.4 Ensure that you or your child continue to drink fluids whilst taking Duphalac®, to help ease your constipation.4 It is recommended that you talk to your doctor if you think your baby has constipation.
